GALENA is considered to be the signature event of HTE degree program as well as for the university due to its dynamic and glamorous nature. The events which were organized under different names in the early year laid the foundation to commence the Galena in 2015. Accordingly, “Galena” has been first systematically brought into the stage by the undergraduates in 2015 with the guidance of academic staff and since then it has been consecutively held as an annual academic event with a massive success & demand. It aims to deliver the practical exposure for the undergraduate in the fields of events & banquet management. Further, it enables undergraduates to learn about table etiquettes and kitchen operations to make them competent in events & banquet management fields, which are key components of the degree program. Galena is the most popular event in the university, indicating an annually increasing demand. The target market of the event is usually the academic staff and the graduates & undergraduates of the university. Different kinds of entertainment activities are carried out to maintain the standard of the event and make the event excited and colorful. The undergraduates do all the decorations, announcing, lighting, entertainment activities, food preparation, and service activities under proper guidance. The academic staff helps the students to polish up their skills by carrying out required workshops mainly in related to food preparation & service area.
