In parallel with the World Tourism Day Celebration 2026, the third-year undergraduates of the HTE degree program organized a “Home Science Workshop” for O/L and A/L students in the Badulla District. The workshop was held on 31st July 2026 from 8.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. at the Technology Lecture Theatre and HTE Laboratory of Uva Wellassa University of Sri Lanka.
The workshop provided students with practical exposure to personal grooming and professional appearance, table setup and etiquette, bar and kitchen operations, along with interactive practical sessions. The program also created awareness about the Hospitality, Tourism & Events Management Degree Program and encouraged students to explore future educational and career opportunities in the tourism and hospitality industry.
