Galena 2026; the signature event organized by the third-year undergraduates of the Department of Tourism Studies was successfully held on 05th February 2026 at the university premises. Vice Chancellor, Senior Prof. Kolitha B. Wijesekara graced the occasion as the chief guest. Ms. Anusha Gokula Fernando – Chief Secretary (Uva Province), Mr. Upali Jayasekara – Secretary, Provincial Ministry of Tourism (Uva Province), Deans of the Faculties, Mr. Pramudith Thenabadu – Executive Director (The Pekoe Trail Organization), and many other guests, sponsors, academic and administrative staff members, alumni, and students participated in the event.
