The Ceremonial Event of World Tourism Day 2025 organized by the undergraduates of the HTE degree program was held on 14th November 2025 at the university premises under the theme of ‘sustainable transformation’.
Senior Prof. Kolitha B. Wijesekara, Vice Chancelloir of Uva Wellassa University graced the event as the chief guest followed by Deans of the faculties, guests representing academia, industry, students & teachers from schools and academic staff members of the university. The event marked the awarding of trophies and certificates for Quizzy Buzzer winners, launch of WOW magazine Volume V and a panel discussion. Mr, Lawrenz Menz, Director of Sustainability at Six Senses Laamu Resort Maldives delivered the Keynote address.
