On 13 July 2026, Students of the Department of Tourism Studies, Faculty of Management, Uva Wellassa University, participated in the Next Generation of Aviation Professionals (NGAP) Aviation Awareness program, titled “Career Pathways to the Aviation Industry,” organized by the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL).
The program provided valuable insights into the diverse career opportunities available in the aviation sector, with industry experts sharing their knowledge and real-world experiences. Following the awareness program, students were given the opportunity to visit Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) to gain practical knowledge and observe airport procedures firsthand. The Department of Tourism Studies extends its sincere appreciation to CAASL for organizing this inspiring initiative and for offering students an excellent opportunity to explore future careers in the dynamic aviation industry.
