The Department of Tourism Studies, Uva Wellassa University of Sri Lanka, in collaboration with Litro Gas Lanka Limited, successfully conducted a Fire Safety Training and Fire Drill on 10th June 2026 to enhance safety awareness and emergency preparedness among students.
The training provided participants with essential knowledge of fire prevention, safety procedures, emergency response techniques, and the practical use of fire safety equipment. The hands-on fire drill further strengthened students’ understanding of the appropriate actions to be taken during emergency situations.
The Department extends its sincere appreciation to the resource persons for sharing their valuable expertise and expresses its special gratitude to Litro Gas Lanka Limited for their valuable contribution towards the success of this important safety initiative.
